If you don't already know, LittleBigPlanet is all about PLAY, CREATE & SHARE. This means PLAYING levels together, learning to use the in-game tools to CREATE new challenges & activities and then SHARING them with others by posting their levels online on the PLAYSTATION Network. And because we know our fans are a creative bunch, and we can't wait to see the hundreds / thousands (hopefully millions) of user generated 'things' online.

To help spark that creativity, we've created "LittleBigChallenges". Eventually, we hope that our LittleBigChallenges will motivate our "creators" to design amazing levels - but also provide our community of "players" inspiration to not only play the new levels but to start creating too. For now, we've decided to start the LittleBigChallenges with some early exercises, so without further ado...

 

LittleBigChallenge 001 - DIY LBP Logo

 




Above you'll find the official LittleBigPlanet template logo that we've created, but we'd like to think that everyone is entitled to their own version too - so here's the first LittleBigChallenge: Create your own LittleBigPlanet logo!

Design:
Just take our basic logo design and have FUN creating your own version!  For inspiration, here's a few samples of logos we've created internally.
 

 




 

Submit:
Post your creation to our favorite photo sharing site, and remember to tag your logo image with "LittleBigChallenge 001" so the LBP community can...

Rate & Comment:
Once done, feel free to search for other LBP logos and view, comment, add to your favorites, etc.

In a few days / weeks, stay tuned and we'll share our (and your) favorite LBP logos to share with the rest of the LBP fanbase.

Hehe, this should be fun... @Bale_Fire: I'd say it's safe to assume you can use anything you want, as long as it's not copyrighted. If you're planning on replacing the tree in the logo by oh' say a green pipe with Mario leaning against it! then I'd say you'd be passed over for the challenge (would be funny though)!

What impresses me so much about the game is the lack of restrictions. You can create and play any level your hear desires, and gamers look for that. Nobody likes to feel confined or restrained when playing a game.. LBP not only gives you that freedom, it lets others join and feel free while playing with you.

The possibilities are endless....anything we see in the world we can create our own version of it. Did you see Dark knight? Create a LBP board with crazy azz joker throughout. Everybody's played God of War, so you know a GOW level with matching sackboy is coming. Endless, just endless....thanks guys, can't wait to create and share.

i wish sony would get there dates right. theve pushed back home, which they said first coming out in 07, but pushed back to 08, then maybe 09. life with playstation was supposed to come out at the start of august, but pushed back to the end of the month. and, not to bring down on mm and lbp, but they said september. that was'nt az bad tho. lets just hope they get it RIGHT.

!!! PLEASE READ !!!

Seeing as we can all customize our screen with stickers I though it be best that we have a place to upload them and check each others out!

All you have to do is open up the page, press the Print Screen button and then it save as a jpeg or jpg.

Then, pop over to Photobucket.com and use the following details.

Username - LBP-Screen

Password - littlebigplanet

I created sub folders for our usernames, so find the folder you need and then upload your picture!

It's really simple and a good way to get to know each other. I look forward to seeing what you all come up with!

Also, I just plonked mine up there quick to give you a taster and so you know how to name your creations. As long as you follow the format it'll make finding yours and other peoples work a breeze and keeps it all nice and tidy!

Hope to see some funky screenshots soon my fellow designer friends!

I just had an idea ladies and gents. I'm not the best at photoshop or Gimp so I've decided to make a collage! A 3D LBP header!!! I'm going to start it this evening and hopefully - sometime mid week, it will be finished!
