For those that might’ve missed it, Threespeech.com had an exclusive feature two weeks ago that unveiled the finalized LittleBigPlanet packaging for Europe.  Question on everyone’s mind of course, what about North America?  Now we’re confident that most of you have seen our LBP Coming Soon Box at various websites, and perhaps even mistaken it as our final packaging.  Well, it’s finally our turn to unveil ours!  Here’s an official look at the North American LittleBigPlanet packaging.


Note:  To be accurate, we have updated the post by replacing all instances of “US” to “North America” (Yes, this means you Canada & Latin America).

Not a big fan of 3 different PlayStation fonts...but you have no control over SCEA I assume.

Glad this is getting boxed and isn't just a downloadable. Box art is fun.

I remember someone saying the Europe box art woudn't jump out at you at a store, although I disagree (maybe because I'm half european) the box art is aimed at it's public. This box art is aimed at the US (and I assume Canada as well) and this 'will jump out at the North American consumer. Good stuff Mm & Sony. I can't remember the last time I saw 'such a well oiled advertising machine. The trailers, the constent presence at game conventions and the fan support (such at this site). Hats off to you guys.

I love the Cover Art! I also like the new 1st party "Only On Playstation" bars. It adds insult to injury for xbox owners who are too stubborn not to buy a Playstation 3. Smile

My comment is... WOW!

The UK version was pretty good, with the stickers and with Sackboy looking pretty cool - but this is... wow! The focus is on Sackboy and that's where is should be more geared to.

Yes it looks like the PSN and Exclusive logos are a new permanent fixture to ps3 box arts. You can see it also on the Resistance 2 Box Art.

Not in the least, I hate europe. This cover is less design-y, less creative in a way. It's I dunno how to explain it, but plain and it doesn't excite me visually. I love sack boy, but with all of them it's too crowded visually.

True, the other cover is more colorful, however, this version looks more global to me, like a whole army of sackboys and sackgirls from around the world! And that's what the game is all about! Anyway, it's just a cover... and it's nice to see what will be standing in front of my TV for pretty much months to come. October cannot come soon enough! Cannot wait, hopefully there'll be a demo available! or a beta, both are fine to me! Laughing

Dont you think something more tactile would have been nice? Given the feel of the game why not have something a little bit more original. It looks corporate, it doesnt look like MM.

slightly off topic but question to admin boys. Why did this thread start 8 hours ago and my RSS feed setup to track LBP and updates every 5 mins STILL isnt showing the story?

Its really interesting to read the differences between Europe and US and the voting seems to be tied to the perceived nationality of the poster, not the content of the post.

Is this going to be reflected in LBP? US flaming Levels designed by Europeans, Europeans /blocking anyone who has an opinion opposite to their ideal?

We should start the LBP mentallity HERE. THis isnt about the world we live in its about the world we all want to play in, and the new home we are about to move into at the end of October.

That cover should catch a few glimpses at the stores. I like it!

I noticed there is an empty spot on the flag selector when you first go to this website. A Canadian flag would fit perfectly and give Canadians a place to click. We don't really like clicking an American flag to enter websites.
