Now that the dust has settled from E3, we'd like to thank our gaming press for the AAA treatment (attention, acclaim and accolades)!  The past month we have been hammering away at finishing the game, so to have LBP getting so much attention was a huge pat on the back!  For those who missed it, here are a few of our favorite E3 coverage in this week’s edition of SackBoy in the news.  (Link away!)

It was a good time for you folks indeed! If you ever need a morale boost just check a few forums. They're all lit up with talk about how great LBP is looking! Heck, even if you need a hand I'm sure a few of us will come down to the MM HQ and make cups of tea for the day! Laughing

For the record - I make very good tea!

So, I'm guessing everything is on track. This year has been full of delays. The last thing I think any PS3 owner would want is to hear LBP getting released early 2010!!! Laughing

This site is vaguely similar to the PAIN blog and that was really successful. Hopefully this website will do just as well, or better. The plus about the PAIN site was it worked a treat on the Playstation browser but unfortunately, this one doesn't. I can't seem to click the story or comment tabs? Still, not a major gripe - just a little something I noticed.

Do you have anyone specifically posting on this site because I've noticed it's only been Sackboy103 posting so far? (I'll gladly help out. Remember, I'm good at making tea!)

Anyway, keep up the tremendous work!

I watched the E3 webcast and donloaded the videos from the US PSN, I maust say that your presentation was brilliant, what better way to show off user generated content than making a level to illustrate business data (never the most interesting subject).

Hopefully the rumours of a PC release are unfounded as having this as a Sony EXCLUSIVE is so important.

Once/If the bonus pre-order items appear this side of the atlantic, I shall be deciding which retailer to spend my money with, any clues as to who gets what bundles?

I'm really looking forward to playing and creating with this brilliant piece of software.

LBP will consume my life! I'll play single player first, then crank up beast levels for the whole community to enjoy. They'll have ratings as well like AO, M, Teen and so forth.

Cannot wait to finally get my hands on this gem of a game. Mad respect and props to the whole crew @ Media Molecule! Keep up the kick ass work guys. Smile

I have an idea for LBP.
You should add water and make sac boy able to swim if he has water wings. you should be able to allow or not allow water wing in a level. and make only certain materials float on water.
That would be awesome!!!!

This game is going to be incredible. It is revolutionary on how this game works. It can be complex for adults and teens and then simple for children to play. It 100% deserves the "E" for everyone!

!!! PLEASE READ !!!

Seeing as we can all customize our screen with stickers I though it be best that we have a place to upload them and check each others out!

All you have to do is open up the page, press the Print Screen button and then it save as a jpeg or jpg.

Then, pop over to Photobucket.com and use the following details.

Username - LBP-Screen

Password - littlebigplanet

I created sub folders for our usernames, so find the folder you need and then upload your picture!

It's really simple and a good way to get to know each other. I look forward to seeing what you all come up with! Laughing

Also, I just plonked mine up there quick to give you a taster and so you know how to name your creations. As long as you follow the format it'll make finding yours and other peoples work a breeze and keeps it all nice and tidy!

Hope to see some funky screenshots soon my fellow designer friends! Laughing

This game looks amazing,but the sight looks kinda ugly. The light blue text on wooden background is really not doing it for me. (other than that it looks nice though.)

Thanks for putting up this site, I really like your comment rating system. The PlayStation Blog should try this out to help filter out all the comments by trolls! You guys have totally deserved all these awards, and I don't see how LittleBigPlanet can get less then full points in the reviews. (Actually I can see it, but I really don't think that even what I've seen, alone, of LBP deserves less than a 10/10)

I cant not describe how happy I am to see LBP on the pre-order list! I love developers who are dedicated to making thier games great and do not just want to make money. The guys at Mm are great. As are all the guys working at playstation. Thank you, you have made my life a liitle less boring!

oh guys add me if you play warhawk, mgs online (mgo), cod4, and if you plan to play create and share in LBP! please have a mic for communication so we can get all the stuff in the officail lvls and make a lvls togather easily. plz have mics so we can communicate easily and make the funnest levels or have the most fun making levels Laughing sorry if i misspelled anything or missed a space bar becuase i am just so excited for this game my hands cant' keep up!

very glad to see all this info too!
but lets get started guys by making groups for this game so we can be prepared. is there any commuity of map makers, sharers, well basically a group of LBP that incompasses everything in the game that i can join. i am super hyped on this game and i already have have ideas imploding in my head. (yes imploding)

Thank you for the supposedly great game. Seeing the crap quality ingame videos on Youtube makes me smile every time. Keep it up and don't let others influence you. Oh and play the classics like Monkey Island once in a while (to grasp the notion of fun again if deadlines keep creeping up and tearing you down Smile

I can't wait to get my hands on this game. It's so different from anything that's being developed. I think once this hits the market it will draw so much attention and it will make it a must have game for a lot of families. Even my girlfriend who's always ragging on me for playing games is excited for this. Trust me it says a lot. I can't wait to play other peoples levels which they've created and be able to share my ideas as well. Hope to see you all in that "LittlePlanet".

I couldn't see it after a brief skim read but there was a reference to Monkey Island and some "dry wit"...

The problem with pre-ordering it is I live in the UK and nowhere has a solid release date. Also, I don't know where (if any) the limited edition will be stocked so I'm holding out for that. I'm sure I could starve myself for LBP. It'd be worth it for sure!!! Tong

I'm just living on a dream hoping a few plushy Sackboys are made! Laughing lol

Lol, I'm in the UK aswell, and I guessed you were from your subtle hints Tong. It's quite lucky I didn't preorder (kept spending all my cash), cause I wouldn't have got any of the gifts! I hope the UK gets them though, I really want that Creation Manual....And I'll buy one of the Plushies off eBay eventually Smile

Well, I had a root through my games collection the other night and though "Hmm, I could sell that!"

So, once my PayPal is sorted I'm going to sell Samba De Amigo on Ebay! Should fetch me quite a bit with any luck.

I will afford the game! How much do kidneys and livers sell for nowadays? (Actually, that might be a step too far...maybe)

what would you be doing on such a website anyway? tut tut Tong

anyway, I've got a few questions that I wouldn't mind being answered, whether by someone at sony or Mm or anyone else that has played a recent build of this amazing looking game

When you use you emotions, how do you get them back to normal? or does the emotion only last for a limited amount of time?

and a question I'm sure has been asked countless times, when's a demo coming out!

I can't wait for this game, I've been amazed since first seeing a video from GDC07 on youtube nearly a year ago, which also brings up the question of: will there be a feature that allows you to upload videos of gameplay similar to pixel junk eden?

lastly, please could you provide us with more details about the pre-order stuff as I don't want to pre-order until I know which are doing the deals

again thanks to anyone who can provide answers

and I want to congradulate Mm on such an amazing game which may fall in the platforming genre but users can pretty much create a game in lots of other genres.

Congrats on all the awards at E3, Ive been really excited for this game ever since I first heard about it. I'm really lookn forward to all of the different levels that people from all ov ther world wil be creating.

@DrunkMiffy - It's a maracca game for the Dreamcast. It's all in it's box etc and apparently is worth a fair bit!

These awards are all well deserved. I've been promoting this game to all my gaming friends and family since GDC 07 and you guys have never disappointed me. The wait has been long, but knowing that the release is in Oct. is just superb! This game is crossing gaming boundaries all over the place as my wife, my little girl, all of my extended family and hardcore gaming friends are ecstatic to get their hands on this game. I of course can't wait either, but again to all you awesome outside of the box game developers at MM congrats! Can't wait to play!

@Unknown Hero - They won't say lol, especially to one random PSN user. If they announced anything about DLC they'd make it public & put it on PSN Message Boards, main page of the blog etc.. Their main website Smile

@Unkown_Hero - I think we have the ability (once the games released) to make our own Sackboys so your hopes for a Solid Snake one are pretty high - if I'm right anyway! Laughing

OMG! I just realized I have the highest amount of votes for my idea!!!!!! Look! I have 7% and no-one else has that high but I'm not in the top 10! THAT SUCKS! How upset am I!? I wonder why I'm except from the comp???

Lol Bear, it's awesome! I think you might have a little difficulty with the face though, unless you kinda PSEye shop that colour, and cover his face with stickers of that colour Tong

Love the game, pre-ordering it as soon as I know where to get the pre-order goodies. I would just like to say, I love the look of the site, my only complaint is the baby-blue hyperlinks over the brownish wood color, kinda hurts my eyes reading it. Minor issue, I'll just have to get used to it !!!
