Sweet trailer. I'm getting pretty anxious about these beta keys though. Sam said on the playstation forums that there would be a post on this site today that would let everyone know where we'd be able to get them. Is that happening or what? I already tried my luck at a couple North American sites but I haven't heard back anywhere. What's the dealio?

i finally realize this site will not give out beta key. reason: beta keys are for media to spread hypes to INCREASE LBP awareness (in a marketing sense). and since we already buy into this.. no point in wasting a good beta code for someone that will buy the game anyway Frown. same as running a bussiness.. why give out discount to existed customers (who will always be your customers no matter what) when you can use the discount to try to get a new customer instead.

While i think you guys (Kapar and drpacifist) are on to something, i would hope that they would treat the devoted fans of LBP to an early taste of it. I really hope they do decide to give us beta keys. In the meantime i heard that <a href="www.gamepro.com ">www.gamepro.com</a> has 1250 beta keys that are going to be posted on their website this monday, the 29th of September.

Why cant you just have a beta sign up process on this site instead of making us goto site to register if we have no real intention of going back. Its plain madness. Oww and also these sites crash and burn when everyone hits them trying to get keys.

I agree with what lbp-community posted! There should be a beta sign up process here. It is getting very annoying seeing all these sites posting they have beta keys and the site is down due to everyone trying to get one. I rarely get beta's and would really like to get this one (the only reason I got the Socom beta is because it came with Qore)

I think it should be like the SOCOM beta. If you preorder it, then you get the beta. And then have the ability to invite three friends so that way loyal customers to it can get rewarded, and also spread the game around by being able to share the beta with people who arent sure or don't know about the game

Very cool trailer. I for one love this game and my kids also cant wait. Everyone already has an idea of what they are going to make. It gonna cut into my playing time cause I have 5 kids and one on the way. Man I might need a second PS3 LOL! I had a question will LBP be downloadable on the PSN. I much rather have it that way then on a disk. My 300 gb PS3 drive can handle it! Cant wait!!

Hey folks....wake up. Community has absolutly nothing to do with it.
The Beta invites are in the hands of SONY MARKETING!!!! They will
use them to generate the most hype possible. And so far it's working
brilliantly. Stressing and fussing and scrapping for a beta that is an
old build and only 3 levels isn't worth it. It's actually lots more fun to
step back and watch the nuttyness from the sidelines. LOL

Yes, Sony is building hype... BUT.. the beta is more of a demo for alot of people that just really want to try the game before they really comit $60 to it... and to be honest i have seen more hype and "nuttyness" from other games.... this one just is spread out over a large base, unlike most others where there is 1 or to places to get in the beta

With all the hype everything is being spammed with this "Gimme a Beta Key" crap and knocking alot of good info and news into the background.

Sam_Protagonist even posted an info thread just to unspam the board and have one place for it, yet even in that thread which is info is mass spammed with "You need to gimme a Key" crap. Just because you preorder the game doesn't entitle you to demand crap. Stop spamming the sites with crap, please.

I actually watched the High Definition version of the video, and yet again, it has fueled my desire to want to own the game (Thank Goodness for the Preorder).

Hoping for some word re:the beta. Blog had mention of it early this morning PST but the Websites linked to and the LBP Web site don't mention them? BTW, I don't know if anyone suggested this already or not, but how about (seeing as the release date is only a few days before the election) Obama and McCain sack-people? And then perhaps an "election" to see which version gets downloaded more or some other criteria. Have a special on-line tally on election night so people can participate (AFTER they vote, of course). You could call it, LittleBigPresident.

The marketing hype based upon the beta key "giveaways" is great - allows for pre-launch testing of the hosting servers, provides "goodwill" to various gaming sites (even little ones!) and gives end-users (like me, who have been looking for news everywhere, watching every video) a cleaner taste of the final results of an all-encompassing game. Oct 21 (release day in NA) is also my birthday; but, I may have to wait on getting a full copy as getting laid off is a real pain...
