For those that still haven't pre-ordered, and just been waiting for official reviews to come out, there's no more excuses!

Over in the UK, the first major publication review came from The PlayStation Official Magazine (UK), which gave the game score of 10/10, calling it "a beautiful elegant and powerful creative took that puts unlimited potential in the palm of your hand".  The review concluded that it empowers you in a way that was previously confined to the PC modding scene and actual game developers, and you would have to have a 'sack for brains' to miss out on this one.


IGN scored it 9.5/10, stating the game was an "instant classic", and suggested that the game is massive, "one that is essentially two parts intertwined so well that they're pratically  inseperable.  Media Molecule has created a brillant platformer, and the given you the tools to recreate the whole thing over again, or better yet, to create your own ideas from scratch."  They also stated that the game may be the reason to buy a PLAYSTATION(R)3:"If you own a PS3, you cannot miss this.  If you don't have a PS3 yet, this is the reason to get one"

I really think IGN should have given this game a 10/10 because it has everything everyone would ever want in a game, a cute sackboy/sackgirl, the ability to create your own levels, and the freedom to basically do whatever you want. This game is definatly revolutionary and I also believe it is a big reason to buy a PS3 if you don't already have one.

The whole idea of the game was awesome enough that I didn't need a review to pre-order the game.
I believe it is a great game but from what I saw in beta still think it has a lot to work on to be even better.

congratz Mm. and if anyone hasn't noticed, media molecule just created itself a game that might last as long as the PS3 itself. Maybe even longer........

dude i've bin following this game ever since it showed up to the world. im sad i didn't get in the beta, but oh well, the real stuff's comin out real soon. but seriously, this game will be a legend. I know 30 people who're switching from xbox to ps3 just because of this game, no joke. im not making this up, i literally know 30 people switching over JUST because of this game. BEWARE THE POWER OF LBP!!

gamespot is going to underrate this game for sure..the only thing they could find to critisize the gam was that they wanted more lvls...*** lol? there's 50 pre-made lvls+ the lvls you can make + millions of other people's lvls...i dont see that a reason to critisize the game...lame gamespot... and @ Bennetting they said 21st for america so i think canada is part of america and that many other people who preordered il have their game october 21st! LITTLEBIGPLANET IS AWESOME!!!!!!

IGN should have given it a 10/10. It deserves it. I'm glad that this game is getting rave reviews!! It's feels like this came out of no where and became the next BIG thing. I can't wait to pick up my title. I hope GameStop has a midnight release. Smile

You guys are crazy lol, but I knew this game would become an instant classic. I had the oppertunity to play in the online beta and I just could not put the damn game down. Night and day, it is just entirely too fun. Three things this game does in my opinion is #1 it finally gives PS3 a since of community which is something that many have said has been to say the least non existant. Which I would say even if this game doesn't tickle your fancy you can still use it as a hub to meet gamers and make friends to play with in other titles easily. #2 it can be played hardcore or as a party game, which is completely awesome giving you the option at your own digression to play competitive and focused or socially and relaxed, seperate or simultaniously, online or off. Either way you will still have fun. #3 and one of my favorites is the individuality, personality, and customization of this game. Sackboy while being marketed as a new platform character for the next gen to me he is more like an avatar allowing gamers to express themselves in a game unlike ever before. A good example of this is the beta. Now while it was limited to some degree as far as costumes and items I can't even start to tell you the thousands upon thousands of variation I saw of Sackboy and that also goes for the decorations and uniqueness of the different pods I visited which is like your home and where most of your parties and adventures will begin. Long story short this game is remarkable in every way, it may even be ahead of it's time. A must buy for a PS3 owner.

My score 10/10... trust me!

Ps. I didn't even mention the ability to share being able to upload photos and how easy and fun create really is. This game comes jammed packed with a whole army fo things to do and discover. Don't miss out!

I remember seeing LBP for the first time, "world premier" commercial on Spike's Video Game Awards show back in late 2007. I had no idea what I was looking at! Glued to the TV like never before (seriously) I was in awe, I just couldn't wrap my brain around it, I thought "how can this be a game? wheres my life meter, my map, no HUD at all? What are these cute things running around?" I honestly thought it was something else, not a game. But I jumped on the net and looked it up, found the Mm website, watched the 18 min video from GDC..........then I understood! since that very day I have been waiting anxiously. I immediately knew that this was the game I would buy a PS3 for. But not only did I buy a PS3 just so I could enjoy LBP, but I pre-ordered 2 that's right 2 copies I would have ordered more but I'm in Canada so there are only 2 pre-order goodies. And Yes I have both codes Kratos AND Nariko. And once the game is launched I'll be hunting the Little Big Pouches and a sticker book, if you are getting any of them and want to sell, let me know. Congrats again to Mm, I loved the Beta and am super excited that launch is almost here. This is going to be a gaming revolution that puts ALL other games to SHAME!

I give it a 9/10. Excellent game but marred by some big issues that i hope they address. first is the controls. Why in gods name am i forced to another plane when i jump and there is higher ground on another plane? That's so annoying. I'm trying to jump over a small obstacle in my plane but then i'm forced to another that doesnt let you proceed. Unbelievably infuriating.

And create mode. Love it, but why in god's green earth can i not have two switches activate the same object, like a piston for example. Why can i open a door with two buttons, one on each side. THAT MAKES NO SENSE! And then the text bubble let you put in only two tiny lines of text. They're pretty much telling you to make non story driven levels or something.

The game will be a 10 if they address these issues but for now, it's not.

If your talking about the beta, you have to realize. This is not the full version of the game, set aside, its not even the same version. You cant really criticize something thats yet to be released and base that off of an unfinished product. So, for now, leave the criticism to the people who have actually played the real thing. Am I Right?

yay wooot can't wait till ii can cusumize my caracter cause the amount of stuff in the beta was pitful

Senkoy, there's got to be a way because the developer levels were able to do that in the beta. there was that one section that you had to have two people (or one person and two controllers in my case) to open a section.

So Happy about the reviews. When we got to play it in Dallas we knew it was an instant classic that will be talked about for years. Congrats. oh and please do sony's e3 every year to keep us awake.
