The LittleBigPlanet servers have been experiencing significant problems throughout the past 24 hours affecting the online game experience. We are working round the clock on the solution to the current issues and we expect the service to improve very shortly.  

Offline Play and Create will still function properly during any disruption.

Any news on the 'I was there for Launch' SpaceSuit SackBoy costume. or the T-Shirt? I'm not sure since the game was pushed if we will see those on the Playstation Store any time soon.

I'm sure this is one of those issues that could only come about at offical release rather than a small beta. I'm beside myself just having played what I have.

I just feel like I need to get all the stuff in the game before I set out to make any levels and I can't do that without more people (like on those levels with x4 people prize bubble puzzles...

Yeah Valdrek I was wondering the same thing. Anyway, I'm still having fun without online. It's still a great game. Besides, I play co-op most of the time so it's sorta like the same experience. The only thing that's missing are the user custom levels. I want to see what people can do. Looking forward to playing user created levels. Laughing Other than that, they should take their time. Good things come to those who wait. Smile

So we will receive the spacesuit and t-shirt like any regular psn download when they update the playstation store or will we get it since we were logged online before the sever went down. We technically were "online" in the server when I started to get ranked in the story mode. Just a lil confused (p.s. first post ever)

I personally love the offline. I've played online and when you play a level with other people, the lag makes it almost impossible to play. I'm just glad that this issue is fixed.

I got my copy of LBP yesterday evening. Do you have to have preordered the game to get the spacesuit? if not by what process would i get the spacesuit? DL through PSstore? I know it's not available now, but when it is, how do i get it?

During the first week only, to celebrate “Launch”, LBP fans everywhere will be able to download a FREE, Limited Edition Spacesuit costume for your SackBoy on the PLAYSTATION Store.
In addition to the freebie, there will also be a rare “I was there Week One” T-Shirt available - to prove that you were… well… “there Week One.”
(Note- this does not say the Tshirt is free...But a good PR Goodwill move might be to make it free, if they were planning to charge for it)
PS Store updates on thursdays, I believe. So maybe this thursday.. maybe next thursday.. maybe not.

I have been online once, i played world of colour, and then got hit by a massive wave of lag!! I'm so glad Mm's fixing the problem. This is an amazing game w/o online. I'll just try to get 100% on the levels now. Peace Out!

not able to connect online at all ...
going to try my other PS3 which is hardwired and not wireless see if that makes a difference... i am able to get onto the playstation network, just not little big plannet servers...

I wonder if it's because my version is the recalled version...

Ok... i got my game on saturday and made a level but today when the servers came up the level was just gone... and since the servers are up ive had problems with the rewind bug and the bug where it takes forever to load an item... HELP

Everybody STOP complaining about the servers!!! Can you even imagine the amount of traffic their servers are receiving? I'm surprised it is working as well as it is. Mm was definitely not expecting this, with the early releases and all. I'm sure the problem will be fixed. In the mean time, my online is working so add me lol!!

Seriously the games amazing w/o online, i spent the entire day making my first level and had an absolute blast doing it.

So once they've fixed the servers, ill lay it on yall. And seriously stop asking "WHEN???"

Why would they release the "week 1" stuff, when half the other world doesnt even have the game yet!
Stop being such selfish jerks and wait. Play offline or online, spend some time making a sweet level so when the rest of the world gets the game you can show'em up.

Or just sit around all day checking all of over the internets to find out when your gonna get a T-shirt and a space suit....
Last time i checked LBP stood for LittleBigPlanet, not LittleBarbiePlayhouse.

Dont get me wrong, I love my awesome sackboy and I want that T-shirt, but thats not all the game is. Dont forget that.

account management, hit triangle, sign out, load lbp, sign in to psn, choose no in lbp when it asks to connect to servers and you can play while still online to get message but not onthe servers.

that's what i've been doing all day.

Ya, that is the only problem ive found, theres not that much customization to the outfits. I mean, nearly all of them are a preset color, and the ones that are color changeable, have to ALL be changed along with your pop-it menu color, its kinda of a let down.

No worries MM. The only sound you are hearing is the world beating at your door because every one now knows this is a once in lifetime gaming experience. I'd love to be playing right now, but I'm happy to give you the time you need to get things right. Thanks so much for letting us keep our beta levels! I was able to copy my level "Dr. Helle's Twisted Playground" while the servers were up and have spent the downtime tweaking my level so I can republish it. It's great that create mode works perfectly offline, I remember that during the beta it made it impossible to step backward and undo. Cheers!

the only reason im upset is i bought a ps3 just for this game and to finally get to put it to good use i get shot in the face, i not saying i dont love the game its one of the best structured games i have played. but i have beatin the game and am not much of a creator so im have no use for it right now.

I would really like to see videos about how the developers created some of the levels in the game. I think it would be helpful to see how complex levels are put together.

I understand that the servers are causing ONLINE issues but whats really aggravating is when those ONLINE issues interrupt the OFFLINE story mode. It can be very annoying when you try to load a single player level only to be stuck there for 5 minutes. Mm, there needs to be a separation from online or a way to go about disconnecting when the servers are down. One that does not involve me unplugging a network cable.

Is this a worthy start for SONY's new mascot?

Is It a GREAT start considering LBP was available at very few places in the days that are counted in those sales?

If LBP could do a start at 164K with such low stores opening....how many will it do next week?

Will there be an INCREASE next week?

Did SONY shot themselves in the foot once again with the half baked recall.....where some shops REFUSED to give the copies back to SONY?

I am in no way a hater of the PS3 but enough is enough with these server issues guys. Every freakin game on the ps3 has server issues this is a joke, and most of you are all like its ok good luck getting it fixed. F that. Xbox360 for 7 dollors a month is so worth it because you once in a blue moon have an issue. I would rather pay a few measly dollors then have to wait and wait just to play a game online. Little big planet is AMAZING but do something guys i wanna play with my online peeps

oh yea and ive had the game since sat and have yet been able to play with any1 not just 24 hours
