As I’m sure most of you remember, back in September, we held a little contest – LittleBigChallenge: Costume Contest – to see if any of you can help outfit Sackboy and Sackgirl in some new and original duds for their new game.  With so many talented and very creative submissions, we -- with the help of Media Molecule -- were able to pick three of the world’s best designs.

You already saw the very cute Sack-eating plant costume from Europe.

And last week, we introduced Sack-in-the-Box from the US.

Which leaves us to our third and final winner of the LittleBigChallenge = Kabuki Actor.  LittleBigPlanet fans will now be able to add a little Japanese flavor to their own Sackboys and Sackgirls with the new community downloadable costume. 

All costumes are FREE and are currently available for download on the PLAYSTATION store, so come and check it out!

I like the Kabuki outfit, good choice! Next we should have a samurai and Deep Sea Diver one. Oh and one that looks like Gandolf from Lord Of The Rings. Oh and Transformer ones.

Too bad they picked more silly costumes for US and EU but then select a complex detailed one for Japan. I like them all, but the US one isn't executed as nicely as the Japanese one compared to the original schematic.

I feel the costumes aren't too original, I might have expected a Kabuki and TV Sackboy costume from the LittleBigPlanet team. Weren't there a little more original ideas. I think that Sack Yetti was a lot cooler (and original)

Rictor,..I 100% agree,..dont get me wrong peeps,..i like the costumes and all but from what i seen of other peoples designs,..they really shoulda Judged better,..it seems like they picked the ones that was gonna be easy to make!(Not including the Japanese one,..which is totally worthy of winning) For example,..the the plant one is similar to the dinosaur head,..the TV is definantly original but,..its really plane,..something Mm coulda just made them selves. I bet people that entered were like,..I REALLY LOST TO A TV!

Yes I was quite upset seeing I lost from a simple Sackplant, that looks like 'The little petshop of horrors'/'piranhaplant from mario' Seeing as I spent hours working on my entry.
I feel as if the Japanese one got way more attention to details compared to the other two. I feel as though mine never had a change at winning since well mine was as complex as the Kabuki costume, but apparently they wanted quite the 'easy way' out with the EU design..

@ Kazzor, You are right, the Lily Pad reference is from the frog suit costume that came out 3 weeks ago, it was also part of the costume pack that had the shark, gorilla, and penguin.

It is Sack-Eating Plant as you mentioned.

I am going to have to play devil's advocate here, and say I strongly disagree with everyone whining about how all the DLC is not free. It seems that everyone forgets, even if it isn't a licensed character, it still took time, effort, and money to make it. It is still something the developers did not HAVE to do, at all. It is still more than most games do.

Be thankful that the current trend is one free costume and one pay costume/set a week. They are providing a service they had to work on to get made. I have no problem paying them for that service, if it is a service I want. If you do not want to pay for the costume, then do not. But it is your choice. Yours. But expecting people to put in work and effort, and then just give it to you for free is simply idiotic.

Hey my user name is Murder-King i think you guys should create street fighter sack charcters for the upcoming street fighter hd turbo 2 and street fighter 4 i think akuma bison and ryu and for the ladies chung lee and blanka ahha jks about the blanka lol but seriously think about it who wouldnt want ryu and bison hes got a cape and a captains hat lol

So the 3rd and final contest winner turns out to be the most detailed of the bunch.

That T.V. head costume... ehh.. come on. Next to the Kabuki it's like a 3rd grade design up against a Pro.

You guys need to patch the T.V. costume to have the Screen turned on.

The Space Suit face shield mirror was nice but it cast the same forrest reflection no matter what level you were on..

With todays graphics the mirror shield should cast " Real Time" reflections.

Free or not very little effort went into making these skins.

How about fixing the online now that your done doing these stupid costumes.
