Well, we just returned from CES and it was great talking to all of you that attended and came by and chatted with the LBP team – myself, Leo, Eric & Chuck.  We had a blast playing some of your levels and talking real-time.  We're also glad you enjoyed the Metal Gear Solid packs  and new Street Fighter characters as we love hearing that feedback.  We’ll spotlight a few levels that we found / you told us about while at CES on another post…

Level Rankings - Now that the in-game level rankings are working, Mm has provided a quick guide on ranking protocol.

Mm Picks – is continuing with their weekly highlights of levels they’ve found.  Check out the latest batch.

Viral Crazyness
First our LBP fans created the commercials, then a slew of dancing videos, then their own versions of popular machinima videos, unique 'top ten ways to die in LBP' and now...their take on popular viral videos!!!  As LBP fans ourselves, we’ve been beside ourselves with all the user-generated videos / machinima appearing on the web.  Extremely funny stuff…keep it up, keep it clean and keep it legal…and you may find a Prize Crown in your in-box…

 
Great new fan sites & communities
Thanks to all of you making fan sites for LBP, we're honored.  One site has really grabbed our attention, LittleBigPlanetoid.  They have tons of updates & feature articles, including a very thorough DLC FAQ.  Great stuff.

 
Also, in addition, to our own LittleBigPlanet forums, another active community is quickly growing over at LBPforum.net.   We're glad to have you.


"Full Profile"
We're still seeing comments about this on the forums and thought it was worth mentioning again.  For those of you experiencing the “Full Profile” message - because the issue revolves around the amount / complexity of the community objects in your Popit tool, your best bet to avoid this message is to delete a chunk of unwanted objects from your inventory to free up your profile.

Upcoming DLC
We’re getting ready to start another year of DLC on the PS Store at the end of the month - we'll have a better update next week.  Again, thanks for your patience - we needed the rest over the holiday break.  Also, we saw all your comments asking for the previously shown Killzone “Helghast” and Final Fantasy VII “Sephiroth” costumes.  Don’t worry its on its way…BTW…when does Killzone 2 come out?

Upcoming Updates
As mentioned last week, Mm is hard at work to continue to improve the online experience in 09.  We’re testing the newest update now and will let you know more as we near release.  Also, wanted to assure you that we didn’t forget about “Online Create Mode” and the Play / Create / Share counters – its on our list to “check off” (hopefully soon).

Was CES09 fun? banned from PS3 for a while so can't update anything on my end for now >< haven't been on forums since christmas either... hope I can get back on soon once all the family problems are solved...

CES was fun, I hope one of my levels I showed em gets showcased in the later post they eluded to. I'd like a front page level too you know.

What about some some search criteria for levels tht took more than 10 minutes to build?

I hear you all baout your late night LBP work and the itererence it can cause in a relationship. Good luck to all. Perhaps we should form some type of LBP/Divorse league...

New DLC coming eh? I've bought everything so far, even the launch T-shirt but I'm not spending another penny until I hear guarantees that it won't fill my profile up.

Since buying the MGS pack I've experienced the not-saving issue, so buying DLC wrecked my game. I lost some of my own created objects and hours of work on my unpublished level, so it wasn't just "not saving". Downloading MGS actually killed off my own work from *before* the download and *also* refuses to save MGS or other progress.

Never mind telling me I need to delete a few things. That's not a fix, it's a workaround and a temporary one at best.

I feel penalised for buying so much DLC as I effectively paid you extra to kill my game. I have not played on the game since this happened. I want my work back, I want my objects back. At the very least I want a fix and an assurance of future stability. Until then, there are other games out there.

I don't know why I still come here expecting progress. Maybe I should just move on and forget about this game but I still recall how much I enjoyed it before all this happened. It's that glimmer of hope that tortures me the most.

@BLU i mean seriously? it answered all your questions? what questions were those? they really just recapped everything lol. i know that they have commented on the Profile Full problem a few times, but honestly...i hate the answer they give...i know that a number of people might find a solution with that, but a lot of the people that have been with LBP for awhile already emptied there "community objects" pockets and dont have anything left to delete except their own creations. im at the point where i have to delete my levels from my moon. i cant even say i have more than 15 on it. I have no stickers and i always make sure i have no community objects but the rest of the stuff i need cause i still use. We need a better answer guys because the one you give doesnt apply to a lot of us Frown

I really think they need to have no limit on the profile data, after all it is a game about CREATING, not DELETING... I mean say I use half my moon then i cant save anymore... what am i suppose to do delete levels that i spent hours upon hours to make just because the memory of my profile wont let me allow more?!?!?! hmmm... idk... that issue needs to be brought to attention again on the littlebigbusiness table..... BTW I HAVE MADE A NEW LEVEL! IT IS A VOTING LEVEL TO BRING THE PREORDER DLC TO OUR STORE FOR FREE! RECENTLY JAPAN WAS ABLE TO NOT ONLY DOWNLOAD PIPO FROM THERE STORE, BUT THEY WERE ALSO ALOUD TO DOWNLOAD OUR KRATOS COSTUMES! PLEASE PLAY MY LEVEL AND USE HEARTS FOR AUTHOR AND LEVEL AS VOTES THAT WE SHOULD GET THE SAME OPPORTUNITY! IT IS CALLED "PREORDER DLC VOTING LEVEL"

"cute kid" hah....Awesome.

I think its great idea that you're trying to help out the community by trying to get us DLC. But you created a level that acts as a petition to sell/give the "EXCLUSIVE" (it's called that for a reason) DLC. The votes are both Hearts for your level and author votes? You're just coming off as one of those H4H beggers. Why not just start a forum post? The purpose for hearts is to show that you like a certain level or their creator. Not to vote for the release of DLC. If you really wanted those costumes you would have preorded the game from multiple stores, obtained and redeemed the codes and then canceled your preorder for all the stores but one.

Oh, and my negative comments are towards people that have nothing better to do than complain.

CAN I HAVE KRATOS!?!?! PLZ!!!

.....man do they have something in the EULA for EVO's level? there just seems to be something wrong there...and to be honest i dont think anybody would have thought about doing something like that....EVO i dont know where you plan on getting with your petition level, and to be honest it looks like just a cheap way to get hearts but dont abuse things like a petition thats just childish....do you even have any idea how petitions work? do you realize that you actually need peoples signatures? you cant just have people heart you to prove a point......i mean honestly where do people come up with this stuff???

You obviously dont read around pal. Playasia GAVE, NOT SOLD, GAVE kratos and pipo, asias preorder mind you, for free on the 8th of this month. So in response to people should have preorder, asia shouldnt get "special acceptions".. and btw, some people dont have the priveledge to preorder due to lack of money. And as far as DLC is concerned, the U.S. has been getting screwed ever since we were told we were going to get the "we were there for launch" tshirt which NEVER HAPPENED! So stick up for them all you want but they just keep making people feel left out with all this "its to diversify the game" non-sense...

Ever heard of an electronic signature? Its this new thing there doing... wow. Anyway yeah starting a forum is great except for.. oh wait thats what this is and NOTHING that has been brought up on here by us has been given any answers or ANYTHING! All im trying to do is make something that will get through to them and if every heart from every person is taken as a vote and LBP sees that, maybe something will get done but i feel EXREMELY left out and i know a very big amount of people that feel the same way. Oh and btw, dont sit there and question the EULA about if something is wrong with that, nice try buddy

i feel a little left out too but there will be plenty of chances to get your/our own exclusive content so i say, deal with it for now

but a lot of you guys/ girls (honestly i don't know or care about your gender) are being a little harsh on evo's ego

he was trying to think of an original idea to get the costumes that a lot of people want and as sloppy as that idea may have been i don't think he was intending to be one of those little begger lame-o's who leave heart for heart comments on all of the story levels

so chill out he just a little jealous and i think he's right about the t-shirt thing

I agree with evo... we actually were suppose to get the tshirt, but they did say we would get it when the time was right... but this game is all about sharing so arent they kinda going against what theyve made? im one of the ones that feels left out and i believe myself that the time was right around the same time that everyone else got it... but maybe thats just me? but in any case i still think that he didnt mean anything by it, just wanted to help out everyone... thanks for taking action evo

i know what an electronic signature is EVO but what your asking for is hearts. plus your petition isnt even a written document....its a level asking for hearts. i know your an angry kid thats mad about not getting some costumes but if you want to start a petition than make a real one and stop acting like a brat. im not saying i dont agree with what you want but i think the way your going about it is all wrong.....im sorry but i cant respect somebody who is tricking people into giving you hearts. if you think MM is going to take your petition level seriously than all you have done is prove to me how childish you really are

lol ok we can all calm down now... i think what he was doing is not a H4H from what ive read, if so i thin he would have just said so.. But rather a way to make MM realize that they are screwing up the SHARE in PLAY CREATE SHARE... should they just take this out completely then? lol and a written petition would take forever to circle around the U.S.! lol any other suggestions? maybe we could all work on something together since our heads are in the right places?

Uh, it does seem like they're telling us that they aren't planning on addressing the Full Profile problem.
And it is a problem, regardless of what some people say.

Oh, and you can sign as many pieces of paper as you like or heart as many useless levels as you like, it doesn't change the fact that the Ape Escape content is tied up in legal issues regarding different distributors in different regions.

I have to agree with the previous post by DRGNRBRN316. I'm tired of this message appearing because everybody has a camera in their levels and my poppit gets clogged with pics I don't really care for. The biggest problem is I can't delete anything I've collected placed by Mm. All gadgets, vehicles, photos from public can be deleted, but nothing from prize bubbles on the original levels. There are plenty of stickers I could live without.

I'm not trying to be negative and LBP is still my fave game ever. I would like more control over what I keep and what I don't.

O.K listen people if you have the stupid profile problem delete all community items stickers pictures and even reset your pod if you have to and if you still have the problem delete your created levels on my moon and then if you still have the problem publish the levels as locked and copyable and then delete them from your my moon and you shouldn't have the problem because I'm tired of hearing everyone complain and whine that they have full profile messages just think and do something about it"now can we move on to a new subject please.

Ok so over two weeks in since the problem arose and we barely get a MINOR way to resolve the full profile issue?? Look I understand the bug was introduced accidentally and it takes time to fix such a problem, but good grief man that it takes nearly three weeks for a developers response to such a critical circumstance. Do they realize that some profiles are not even warned that they are full? Thats what happened to me and I had to start a new game because I thought my data was corrupted, NOT FULL. I know the holidays came around and everybody decided to take a break and not care about what the community is experiencing but come on already!!! How long are we gonna have to wait for the patch?! Let me make it clear however that I do understand that the bug itself is a trivial one, but the response from the developers is just plain inconsiderate and, quite frankly, LOW QUALITY and THATS the real problem here.

@SNmnIE6 What more of a response do you expect from them? They have addressed the issue many times... There's no magical switch (that i know of) that will fix everything instantly. They are doing their job. We just have to wait. While you're waiting you should delete crap from your pop-it. Wink

Exactly what Dash811 said and you can't expect them to do everything at once everyone wants a new DLC but they also want a patch and things don't work so fast so be patient everything will be taken care of as the time goes by.

this is what they need to do. if u agree just say so then im sure Mm will see a long list of "aggrees" and do somthing. well hopefully.

Conection problems online; lagtime, whitescreen, slow loading times
Levels, Pod, costumes, items, not saving needs to be fixed
Popit size needs to be incresed
Online CREATE needs to be enabled
Online PLAY CREATE SHARE meters working

For the DLC, its not that big of a deal that we get it right away. we have alot of different costumes allready.

so if those still come out on the 22 as planed then i agree, but that seems like a big request and it sounds like it would take a long time to do

i disagree because they already made the killzone costumes so they kinda have to put them out

even though tidus and aeron would be cool costumes i think it's only supposed to ff7 characters
because its advertising for advent children or something

Honestly I just can't wait until the next update with the online create mode.. my friend and I have been wanting to do this since the game came out.. I also can't wait for new costumes.. I believe you guys should put the week one tshirt , spacesuit, and the nariko and kratos costumes out for America. I would pay for them, it does suck to people that didn't get to pre-order and who are just now getting the game.. i believe all people who have this game love it alot, I know I do.. I just want the old costumes and don't think you guys should take any off the PS Store except for the limited "Holiday" ones. The UK PS Store still has the spacesuit costume. Thanks for reading the post.

rumor has it the next DLC is marvel costumes including spawn and venom but i don't believe it yet but my friend said he got it yesterday and now it's gone

i guess we will find out soon

Hello Hello what about the Moderated Games. NOTHING is being said about what you are doing with that. I would really like some news. It has been two months since my game was moderated and there was nothing wrong with it. We should know where we are in the cue to be looked at. Since this has happened I have lost my interest in creating because I'm afraid it will all be lost because someone was bored or something.

I just want my game to work like it used to. My load times suck really bad, i get the white screen when going in and out of lvls. My pod somtimes doesnt save, my costume that i had on b4 i logged doesnt save. the performance online with other players has dropped ten fold. i dont get it. am i the only one with this problem? what do i do? do i really have to delete all my community objects or somthing? oh yea and sometimes when i heart a creator or lvl it doesnt save. can someone please help me on getting this great game back to how it was? And if anyone is itching to play a GREAT lvl i found one on the PS blog. The creator is "Teebonesy" and the lvl is called "The Movies". My favorite by far. u guys should check it out.

@FlareSkull: I'm not getting the full profile message, I get objects vanishing, created levels rolling back to earlier versions and progress not saving, but no error messages. You said, "tired of hearing everyone complain and whine that they have full profile messages" but as I'm not getting that I'll just continue to moan if that's ok? :p

Nearly a month since the problem hit and I've not played the game since. Staring to wonder if I'll bother going back but it was a nice game back when it almost worked (apart from lag issues, scores not moving off zero etc.)

DLC has been delayed in Europe and probably in the US as well but details about upcoming content was revealed. the preorder goodies will be available to buy and wipeout is getting costumes based on it. the ape escape and toro costumes in japan are finally coming to us as well.
