Looking for a creative way to battle and challenge your friends in LittleBigPlanet?  In the latest video creation presented by Media Molecule, we break down the art of Survival Challenges by giving the ultimate creator some insider’s tips, including:

  • Ingredients – recipe for all materials required to make your own Survival Challenge.
  • Moving Entrance – how to accurately place your Start and Finish entrances
  • Crank Up The Difficulty – proper methods in making your mechanics and contraptions more challenging through time.
  • Sequentialness – learn how magnetic key switches can be used as event sequencers
  • Don’t Forget The Instructions – Make your levels more fun and accessible by adding instructions to give the player a form of guidance

Lol when I was a noob in LBP I was wondering how to do this but now I am very good at doing this I have 2 youtube videos if you want to see just search up

I've yet to make an LBP level but I've had the game since launch lol. Maybe I'll make a survival challenge level now. Well maybe not right now cause I'm sure everyone else will be doing them for awhile.

Nice video, clever ideas for speeding up a challenge and adding new ones sequentially. I just need to finish up the level I'm making then maybe I'll try one!

I truly wish that Mm would patch the size limit. I have 40 GB with 13 GB of space left that I would gladly give entirely to LPB. Iv had to deleted stuff that I got from playing online levels and some of my own. I have 7+ levels and Its geting harder to make more levels, stuff, save, or have fun. I have a grate story that Im trying to tell, (Solid Snake Bros. the last fight). Its story of Solid Snake and his mission to find Mario after his has gone missing. Mario was on his way to rescue Princess Peach. But its been 24yrs when he left and now Snake is to go thru each level that Mario went in to, to find clues of his where abuts and to restore the missing stars back to the Mushroom kingdom. We know that King Bowser has had some time to of gotten tecknology out of this world.
Mm, I beg you patch the size limit, you can do it. If not let me know.

im trying to make a survival challenge. im basing it on the popular flash game "heli attack 2". i have everything sorted out, ive got the motion of the helicopter, the paintgun and paintswitches all in place. the only 2 things ive got left are moving entrance (which is easy) and respawing the helicopter which is hard.

Thank you really much for this video, I created my first survival challenge now. It’s called “Little Big Wave (survival challenge edition)”.
I built a huge standing wave that is constantly growing and you have to "swim" to the surface to survive and collect points.

Hey, thnx guys good video. ^^ I knew some tricks with switches but I didn't know the ones you guys showed! I also did not clearly understand how the switches you guys showed work. Im working on some levels of my own but whats mostly hard is thinking on what to make, like what the theme should be and what should it be like, I guess my imagination sux :/

Hey i know this is off topic but a few months ago i saw this game it looked kinda well funny. but then i went on Game Stop and read the reviews for this game it said the only reason to get a ps3 was for this game. it say all really good things about it. i started to ponder if i should get it. Well should I??? Please Answerer

I liked it a lot,(but I did have my share of bugs though) the feel for the game and the music is awesome and I loved the story mode and the things you can create.

If you like creatig game levels, playing with your friends on or offline or love art then this game is for you.(Little Big Planet isn't as easy or as kiddy as it may look(in a good way))

By the way you should check out
MGS4(Epic game)
Fallout 3(Gory and has bad language but good story)
Ratchet and Clank Future(It's pretty funny and fun to play)
Burnout Paradise(A real good and well done racing game)

that was so helpfull thanks a bundle guys been trying to get my survival level to work for a whilst now couldnt for the life oof me think how to do the entrance bit the way i wanted lol

MM are one of the best devs around and created one of my fav games of all time Laughing yay i want kung fu fists of plastic though it looks good

When i seen the video on survival challenges i got inspire.I made a surfing and skate boarding challenge, you can get a real feeling of tricking out on a wave or even getting some road rash after busting your board on a failed ollie.they should be played off line for best results.Look for me... (agreencbear)... "survival challenges (skate or die)

..p.s..don' t forget have fun and wait for that guy who can't get over the wall you know who you are later.....................

BabyPenguin, if you don't have a copy of LBP, then why are you posting on here????? I mean, I did that too, but that was before the game was even OUT. I got it on launch day. And, no before you ask, I'm not going to ask about the Week 1 tee. I could really care less, cause I'm too busy playing w/ the MGS pack and the SF costumes and Pipo Monkey and Toro and the animals and all the other DLC that I have, which is almost ALL of it.
