Welcome to another update on the world of LBP.

"Update Love"

Going live later today is Update 1.09 - a bit earlier than expected, but we're sure you won't mind.  This update contains some minor adjustments plus addressing following bug fixes:

  • Failed to save profile’ message not being displayed when a users profile is full.
  • Object Capture Bug: switch connectors being deleted when an object is captured.
  • Failed to load profile issue :where the user is thrown out to the XMB due to a texture that is not registered in their profile being present in their pod.
  • Text not displaying in the text chat window.
  • Slow rewind due to moderation check.
  • Save file corruption which caused the game to crash when placing any object in an emitter in any level.

"Merchandising Love"  

 

The very first LittleBigPlanet merchandise makes its 'littlebig' debut this week with a brand new action-figure line featuring an assortment of
 4" scale Sackboys in all his textured and stitched glory, displaying various characters, poses,  and costumes. Those attending the 2009 International Toy
Fair in New York (www.toyassociation.org) will be among the few who will catch the very first glimpse of the action-figures that will be available
at select mass market, specialty and online stores across North America beginning this Spring.
 
Toy developer and manufacturer, Mezco Toyz, will also release retailer exclusives, variants and limited-edition Sackboys throughout the year,
which will range between 2" and 18" scale figurines.

If you happen to be attending the 2009 International Toy Fair, feel free to drop by the Mezco Toyz booth at the Jacob Javits Center (#4823) for your
sneak peek at the new action-figures.  However, if Toy Fair isn¹t on the list of your destinations this year, plan on coming by their booth at the 2009 Comic-Con International Show this summer in sunny San Diego.

Stuff'd SackBoys (and SackGirls)
You'll be glad to know that the highly sought after, officially licensed SackBoy plushies are on their way, unfortunately, we still need some time to knit, stitch, and stuff a few loose ends before we reveal more...

I dont mind that its not free (as previously promised) its worth supporting the effort.... The plushies and action figures will make a great addition to my office, which at times functions much like LBP o.O

Yo, awesome figures guys truly. I can't wait for these things to hit the shelves. Man, I still wish I worked for that company that went to the Toy Fair every year, this would have been awesome!

The Girl, Fro-Man, and the Undead Groom are the only ones who gives the costumes justice. All the others seem too hard and shiny. The Neon Suit lost it's glow, Sackboy couldn't be less dull, and the Happy Dragon should really only be made with real cloth, felt, denim, etc.. The others look like the actual renders though but they still don't feel right. I think I'm going to wait for the plushies untill the undisclosed date.

Alright, if you notice who i am, yes im someone with the major saving glitch where deleting everything, including levels, doesnt work. Lets see if this patch fixes it; hopefully it does, i'll go check it see if i can download it now.

SERIOUS ISSUE HERE
I downloaded the patch, deleted all my community objects, all of my objects, all my saved costumes, 1 of my levels (kept 2 of them), all saved pictures (only had one). I even reset my pod decoration.
Guess what... Didn't work, came back on and everything was still there, all objects, all costumes, even the level i deleted.
In other words, i have to make a new psn and do everything all over again... but wait!!! That means this whole thing will only happen again... could i get some assistance here please...

Ok here is something that might help try to wait a while like let the running sackboy on the bottom of the screen disapear because that means its saving i know thats probably not the reason but try one more time

Yea Flare, i always do that, but it still doesn't work, but it might be an issue where my game kept freezing, and i had to completely turn off the system, but then again... everyones game freezes on any game... some1 else i talked to that freezes alot doesnt even have the saving glitch.

on all my posts where i said i still have the saving glitch, i've been getting 1 star, thank you... pathetic idiots. But could i please get some sort of message saying what might be the cause, or send me a message saying that there is 100% chance it wont happen again if i use my other psn. Thank you.

I would just like to say...THANK GOD!! I've been wating forever for those plushies to come out. I've literally been checkin almost everyday to see if any good ones had come out yet. But finally, the real sackboy (and of course sackgirl) plushies are finally out. I think i'll by 10..or maybe 20.......na i'll just buy all of them! Smile Oh, and THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH MEDIA MOLECULE! Btw LBP is the best game ever!
P.S. which is better MM =) or Smile

I don't think the "full profile" part of the patch is working properly. I was working on my level today for almost 3 hours. I have nothing in my community objects and only 4 saved objects. I do however have 5 or 6 levels saved. I saved, turned off my PS3 and came back a few hours later and all of my work did not save.

EDDYSX - Its not my levels that get 1 star, its my comments. My levels get 1 star or 5 star, 1 if they die too much, 5 if they actually enjoyed the detail i put into the level. My comments get 1 star because i have the saving glitch and people think im lieing or think im an idiot because they don't have it... which i find them to be very lucky to not have it.

Also, I noticed in the MGS DLC level that there is a sensor switch with a globe on it. Will we be getting those in the next patch update?

@ Snagaxela I know what it's like to lose hours of work, but a possible fix if you're afraid it will happen again might be to publish your level, lock it if you don't want people rating your incomplete level, and make it copyable. That way you can go back and copy it if it were to get deleted on your moon. It's horribly inconvenient but better than losing hours of work.

Aha, thanks a lot KGameLover1, i might be going on my other psn for LBP stuff (ParryLBP). I'll probably have to start over again, unless i erase history somehow and do it all over again on pearbear, and maybe keep the trophies?

Just wondering if there ever going to fix the "can't save your game, your profiles to big" glitch. Supposedly the 1.09 patch was supposed to fix this, but alas it did not. I've all but quit play LBP because of this glitch, as when I collect two or three objects / stickers, or make a level this message pops up, even when I've deleted all of my costumes, stickers, community objects, and my levels. Now with nothing in hand I take a simple photo of me and some friends and this message starts to pop up every two seconds. PLEASE FIX THIS PROBLEM I BEG YOU.

I can't wait for more information on the plushies. The little figures look adorable, then again, anything relating to Sackboy looks adorable. I think it would be great to have some shirts. I would probably walk around with an adorable Sackperson on my chest.

I don't. I've never had the save glitch, ( I know, lucky me Smile )

I don't really see why you would need 2 accounts.

I mean, just because you get all 1 star comments, doesn't mean you need to make another account And if you do get all 1 star comments, have you ever considered the possibility that you might be a JERK???

sweet I LOVE lbp im a total addict and i cant wait for the plushies. i think u need to make another update where i can u know...actually be able to SAVE my costumes and stop saying that the patch hasnt came out yet. it said at the top that its coming soon

and as i was saying...(continues from costume saving issue) because i have 100% on the WHOLE game and i if i get off of lbp and i made a new costume that day then the next time i get on every single costume i made is GONE please fix this crisis for me
