If you have been keeping up with LBP news, you most likely scored the lovely Summer Solstice Druid costume that was available for free till this week.  If you missed out, not to worry, cause in celebration of Independence Day, our friends at Mm are paying tribute to Lady Liberty with one of the sweetest costumes to date- The Sacktue of Liberty.  Since Liberty should be free for all, so is this costume, so grab it while you can!  It's up now until July 9th so be sure to download this before you light your bottle rockets and start up the BBQ!


Don't forget that the Artist Sticker Pack by Jon Burgerman ($1.99) is also available now.  If you need to give your level some flair, don't forget to score some sweet sticker action designed by artist Jon Burgerman.  The guys done toys and his art are on clothes and galleries all over.  Your level might be next!

Wait, CmFd, how'd ya burn your hands? were you trying to pull a kitten out of a fire? Or did the awesomeness of LBP surge through your controller untill it burned at a temp of 560 degrees farrenheit? And yes, they better have the theme song with this DLC. or i will have grounds on which to sue.

Both sadly i can barely hold a toothpick with out the pain getting to me
the real reason i burned my hands was well somewhere by the woods there was like a small forest fire that atleats coverd up like 16 trees no one new about it but then i was just walking around cause i like visiting the old broken barn around there so i just kept walking then i smelld smoke and asked one of my friends(whos no help) if he was smoking but he said no then then i realized that the smoke was coming out out the foreest i had like two water bottles in a backpack my friend was carrying and he had three.So as soon as my friens saw the inferno they ran off but i didint i took the back pack and took the water bottles out then opend it i got most of it done but i ran out of water so it wasnt as big but it was on the grass so i tried to put it out

Can anyone help me really quickly? Does anyone know how to make a scoreboard AND/OR Start Gate without the bottom cardboard piece. I'd prefer the bottomless start gate more, but the scoreboard would be helpful too.

Now i can add an actual 'race' to my shopping kart race level
It'll be done tomorrow Wink
Anyone want to try?
Incredibly hard to drive the kart however, its very light material so it all depends on how you balance the kart. But the race itself and the random encounters you make in the level will make you laugh.
This isn't the PSN that has it though, PearBear5 still has saving glitch.
The PSN with the shopping kart race level is ParryLBP

Add me if you want and put in the friend request "littlebigplanet" so i know its not some guy i killed in killzone who wants to yell at me.

Yes there is a way to make a scoreboard w/out a cardboard bottom. and a couple trigger bomb's on the base then blow em' up then use the sticker/decoration tool to take the burns off the top of the scoreboard or add me as a friend and i'll send 1 to u.

Yep, i got the scoreboard without the bottom, and my level is complete.
Published it 2 seconds ago and it has 10 plays, 5 stars, so thats good? Idunno about tags or hearts yet, or comments. Hopefully people like "Shopping Kart Races".

I couldn't get the racing start gate without bottom so i just removed the whole 'race' part from the level but who cares, its a fun level, not a competitive one.

cant believe there was a forest fire ur hands probably hurt ALOT cuz when i got burned across my hand it hurt like crap for like a week and it was only a heir straightener(sisters) at probably like dont know how hot

LOL, My level, in 1 day of publishing, (Shopping Kart Races) ended up with 250 plays, and only 14 hearts.

So i put H4H in my level just to get a couple more hearts considering when someone sees a level with a lot of plays, and little hearts, they think it sucks.
So the moment i put in H4H, someone puts in a uploaded picture of NO H4H.
So obviously i removed it and now it looks like I'm against H4H as the picture looks as if its mine considering it shows no name... So win-win in a way, AND STOP GIVING MY LEVEL 1 STAR. Just because you flip the Kart over due to your poor driving skills, doesnt mean you take it out on me and give the level 1 star. I had 5 stars by everyone then SLAP, 1 star, brings it down to 4....

Hopefully i get more hearts though, and better tags, hate when "Tricky" is a tag because then people expect it to be tricky... W/e at least many people tagged Funny and Satisfying

The people who i usually comment on/chat with on the news comments are much more, how you say, understanding. For example, CmFd is talking about how he tried to put out a fire and got his hands burnt; Why don't you tell him to make a thread on it; a thread which no one would care about. Here, people read all the comments and reply to them in a friendly nature. However, people like you dislike that for some reason, why even YOUR comment isn't about the news. Its just telling me to make a thread. Do me a favor and make a thread with the same comment you just wrote. I'll be sure to not read it.

What ever happened to the ratchet and clank costumes and level packs that were confirmed as coming? I was just curious cause i got all excited about it. Either way you guys are doing an awesome job with the DLC. Keep up the good work. One suggestion I just thought of though would be cool if you made transformer costumes. I'd be all ofver little sackformers.

No. Do not make Transformers for LittleBigPlanet.
I wrote a very large paragraph as to why you shouldn't make transformers for littlebigplanet but i know for a fact it will cause everyone to get angry, so i backspaced it all... Yes i like Transformers, but its based on an old animated series, a series which probably 60% of the people who saw the Transformers movie have NEVER watched.

Alright I'm finally going to start using ParryLBP on these news conversations, lol. In 2 days my shopping kart level received 950 plays, and i think 58 hearts. I didn't think people would play my level that much o.O

Then again... I did republish about 40 times... Or more, who knows.

I didn't say "if no one saw the movie" I'm saying, when people see a movie based on an old animated series, they think that the world revolves around the MOVIE, even if they've never heard of the series. You have to understand that you are basing all of your facts on the MOVIE not the SERIES. Yet the movie is actually quite different...

Also, please realize that Transformers are well. ROBOTS. And our little Sackboy here is well... Not... a robot. A costume would either be too detailed (And be horrible looking considering it would only look good as a robot costume) or the costume would be just awful considering HEY, SACKBOY ISNT A ROBOT. I guarantee it that you just saw the second Transformers movie, and now you're pumped. So you want to introduce it to LBP, but you have to realize that if you didn't see the movie, you wouldn't care one bit. In about a week, you'll realize that your idea was horrible, or you'll just find a new movie to introduce to LBP, like Harry Potter...

I own the first one, watched it many times, and have seen the second one also. Yes, they were pretty damn awesome. But I'd like to express my opinion too if you get to express yours; You have to be prepared to go up against someone like me who is against your idea for I am someone who hates people who create stupid ideas that were poorly thought out.

@ramenators just calm down what pearbear5 is saying is that think about it sackboy is not a robot he is a SACKboy if you cant get that in your head then you dont get the meaning of materiols(not spelld right i dont care) if you come up with ideas you have to have facts to support your idea and thik it through and just by owning the first damn movie (witch is cool) and seeing the second one DOES NOT MAKE IT A GOOD IDEA and if you have an idea you better be prepeard for other people to critisise cuz some are dumb ideas others are great then in your lvl are just not well tught out make your own kind of sackboys.Just have to think through to see if its a good idea for sackboy

you know what ,answer this: Is a SACKboy a minotor? Is a SACKboy a medewsa? Didn't think so. don't you get how awesome a level pack of sackformers would be? and another thing, no offence or anything but, how can you type if your hands are singed(burned whatever)?

I dont really give a crap what transformers is based on. They would still be cool costume pieces. Theres some stuff they released that i'd never heard of, but I thought they were cool costumes and pieces. I'll take any DLC I can from them. Even costumes I don't really care for which there have been some.I'm in favor of just about any DLC they have to offer. I'm impressed with them. They've released more DLC then most cames or any games have for the PS3. Great job Mediamolecule!You are still one of my favorite game companys.

@ramenators i type with a pencil in my mouth thats not sharpend and you know what your complaining about a idea that wasnt even yours.Think about it the costume might....MIGHT....be really cool or the costumes will be terrible and will be ruined wasted time and money and you will grow old and become fat have no wife be molesting sackpeople and will live in your moms basement(JK LOL)

Ok. Lets try this again. See the Minotaur and Medusa is made of well.. Hair / skin / Scales. (You know which one goes with which). And HEY, Sackboy can easily do this by simply using brown leather, or just, hey scales. But hmmm, Transformers. First (Considering you want Transformers in LBP based on the movie) we'll need him to go from Truck, to big giant Blue/Red/Grey/Black Silver thing. We'll need 100% Detailed painting job on him with a little dirt mark here and there, his face will need about 10 panels of metal just to show that he has a mouth, his eyes have to be protected by many other pieces of metal, showing a great ammount of detail. Now i could go ON AND ON about how difficiult this would be, but hey, maybe you already understand "Wow, this was a horrible idea". Or MAYBE, just MAYBE you've realised, "Maybe it would be a better idea to base the LBP Transformers on the animated series, not the intense crazy 'computerised' film.

I agree with you about the Transformers, but I think Mm should do Harry Potter DLC, for several reasons. One, it is very popular; two, it wouldn't have to be to detailed. All it would need to be is like a robe from the movie, a wand, and the Sorting Hat. And maybe levels like going through the castle and stuff like that and fighting Voldemort as the boss level. Kinda like the MGS4 pack.

Also, not to start a fight here, but I don't understand how it would be difficult to do the Transformers idea. I said I agree with Parry but what I agreed with was that they shouldn't do it.

transformers is awesome!! It isn't that detailed, I mean look at the helgahst costume, VERY COMPLICATED! I mean why would they put: a dark mark here, perfectly painted. It would rule!
