The biggest Video Games show in Europe, GamesCon, is set to start next week in Cologne Germany. LBP will be there and as teased previously there maybe some new things to announce. As we all wait patiently, let’s see what’s been going on this week.

Given to video games that break new ground in the industry by Edge, the Interactive Innovation Award was well received by the Media Molecule team, even if they couldn’t be there. Congrats!

Comic-Con Lives in LBP

As we mentioned before David Dino aka gevurah22 was working on a level inspired by his Comic-Con adventures. Well his level is done and you can play it! For those of you who didn’t get to go yourselves, be sure to give it a spin!

Hey y’all. It’s David (gevurah22) again and I’d like to show you guys a little level I created called “LBP @ Comic-con 2009.” It’s a small level based around my short time in Comic-con this year at the San Diego Convention Center. Granted there’s no way I could have captured everything I saw during my time there, I did my best to give it a little LBP twist to it. Incorporating a little visual trick found by bakscratch and some help from NinjaMicWZ, this level hopefully encompasses the size of the convention center with so many things happening all around you. I also took a bit of the stuff we created at the show on the last day of Comic-con, including pics of everyone who helped out! Although short, I hope you enjoy the level!

Anybody else thinks the guy who made Azure palace is over rated? Call it jealousy call it what ever you like. But, In my opinion there are way better levels on LittleBigPlanet better then his, yet it seems that he is the only one that got recognition for his level which is B.S.

Its notthat fact that he made an amazing level that got him credit, its that he made an amazing level IN THE BETA for LBP/ Yep, all of azure palace is strait from the first LBP beta. And yes there are better levels out there and everyone know it. Its just that azure palace was the first truly outstanding "OMG you have to play this now!" level in LBP.

It was actually in the retail version. =P Geosautus' World of Colour and God of War level were truly spectacular in the beta, let alone the retail since it carried over. We definitely need to see more levels from him in the future.

It's totally cool to think that way. But I just find it funny you go on youtube asking me to hook you up and "get you inside the gaming business" then go about posting your opinions about me here. I wouldn't necessarily call it the best way to make connections, no?

I'm in the same boat as many users out there thinking that there are a lot of better users and levels since the game came out. Yet, I'm not the one who makes the decisions up top. I really have been lucky in all of this since the game came out and it definitely has been a pleasure working with Sony and Mm in helping to promote the game to different audiences.

If it really bugs you that much, well... *shrugs*

I hope that other players who are even more dedicated to the game get the chance to do similar in the future. They definitely deserve it (i.e. Jaeyden, NinjaMicWZ, etc.)

Considering this game is one of a kind, the opportunities are there for others to do similar, if not greater things for the game and its awareness.

David (gevurah22) I see you at comic con, on qore on Sony websites etc.. and hell yea I'm so jealous of it dude in away I envy you. I do apologize for being a tool man but honestly I would cut off my right arm to be any where near a game developer just to be in the same atmosphere as them would make my life complete I have been gaming since I can remember (2-3 years old?) So Media Molecule gave people the opportunity and the tools to show off what they have to offer for gaming... My levels suck compared to yours man. It's all about jealousy... Again I humbly apologize......

You guys know that Mediamolecule is going to announce something big
about Littlebigplanet tommorow at gamecom?Also if you went to my
sackinformer on the forums here,there is a mediamolecule present to tim
featuring a brutal legend sackboy costume.(Nothing confirmed just a gift)
Still looks pretty cool.

wow.......i never thought id c the day when LBP added water. however i am happy that they put a little more thought into it instead of it just being a material that works the same as the jetpack. some things float somethings sink. sackboy has an air meter i think i saw. wow.....just.....wow.....

-well if water can b in LBP then im gonna bring back my idea from a long time ago
-Goo (or call it what u want)
-a material that grabs sackboy when he touches it (basically a sponge that forces sackboy to grab it), then dissolves using a switch like the dissolve material to let go. imagine sackboy stuck in a spider web. would allow for new puzzles and a new variety of enemies!

and there is also a new lbp game of the year edition they're coming out with! it comes with free costumes! but we will probably have to make new friends unless we can transfer them onto the other disc or something

There is a lot of things about the new water feature especially where there
is a new scuba-diving costume.This was seen in the video numerus times
and if you look closly you can see numbers going down.Probably indicating
how much air you have.Also said it was going to be released with a new
kit.

Im guessing the Scuba thing will be a power up, and allow you to stay underwater for as long as you want, where as if you were to go under water without the power up, you'd have a time limit and have to hit the surface for a few seconds of air.

I would also like to see if it had the ability to perhaps act as rain, or as someone else stated, a waterfall.

Or if the water were to be in a bucket, then you move the bucket around too fast or make it flip over, the water would fall out (unless of course you made it so that it stays in its fixed position.

Water must have been INCREDIBLY hard for MediaMolecule to create, but then again, i can see an endless ammount of patch updates to fix issues/improvements with the upcoming "Water".

Hello, I Really Want A Cool Suggestion For The Water Pack Coming, I Really Wish You Can Change Its Color, Like Brown, Red, Green, Or Let Us Put Stickers On It If We Want The Water To Be Black And Be Creative With It. Now That I Remembered, People Are Making Waterfalls With The Glass Thing, If Media Molecule Could Make A Realistic Effect Of A Waterfall When You Let The Water Fall, That Will Be Out Of This World!

I wonder if you can fill things with water. Like take a bucket attached to a winch, lower into water, bring it up, and be filled with water. Seems like the trailer implied possibilities such as that. Can't wait!

If you don't disclose the source of a rumor, then your claim has no real credibility. Some kid on the forums saying "I HOPEZ ITS HERE BY DA 24RDTH" isn't really worth posting here.

As much as i really dont agre with agravlin, he's right. Unless you can say where the rumor came from and unless it's a reliable source, There's no way your claim or the rumors claim as no credibility. Plus the only knowledge we have of when it's coming is that it's coming "Later this year" that's all.

it is a scuba tank power up! if you dont have it then you have a time limit to reach the top. (there is a chance im wrong but i watched the vid like three times and really payed attention to when the scuba tanks showed up. or its just a costume piece =/ ) sadly im not sure if things are going to b airtight. however Mm has posted a sign-up for the beta testing of water! so if you sign up and are selected to test it, you can let them know that you want air-tight objects!

You know what bugs me?That all the ideas that me and others back then
wanted and it kinda of actually happend.Im not saying all the ideas we
thought happend but most of them did.Is Mediamolecule reading the comments?Or is it just me.

Hey MM, did you guys know that "Info Moon" doesn't work. The play create and share bubbles are always 0, FIX IT PLEASE

your a little late to that particular party. Thoose have been stuck at zero since launch. but MM is planning on reactivating them (yes. They were deactivated and it was, and is, not a glitch thats keeping them at zero) at a later date.
